An award-winning director, playwright, and props designer, Mariah is passionate about experimental film/theater and emphasizing the playfulness that can occur between storytelling and audience. With original works performed at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and research published in the V International Forum of Researchers, she seeks out projects that delve into the untapped potential of live performances of all kind - theatre, technology, film, circus, park interactions, and anything else the imagination reaches. After earning her BA in Theatre Arts Studies with an emphasis in Directing and Critical Studies, Mariah took on directing opportunities with Taproot Theatre Company and Dacha Theatre in the Seattle area. She currently freelances in the Low Angeles and Salt Lake City areas as a filmmaker and theatre director. When not directing, Mariah is working with independent filmmakers with marketing and funding needs.
